In going through some of my files looking for long lost images, I came across this page that I don’t guess was ever made public. (Or if it was, a plug-in update rendered the links useless, which is what it looks like now that I’m making the updates and relinking the plug-ins.) Because if it had been public while the EPSB attorneys had been scouring our website, looking for more “gotcha” moments to confuse the sweet but naive hearing officer into believing the Black female educator was a scary monster coming for kids when in fact, she is the SHERO in this made-for-Netflix, sordid, soap opera tale. The true villains are the petty white women and men who think THEY know how to best educate the babies in the 97% Black West Louisville elementary school, as well as their deep bench of KDE staff, attorneys and Oscar-worthy witnesses better than the highly decorated, trained and tenured educator, Dr. Kimberly Mucker-Johnson, who is BRINGING HER RECEIPTS to this hearing. Oh, this story is going to break your heart. But the story needs to be told, so since it’s been a few years, I’ll start with this nugget I just uncovered below and try to fill in the gaps.
First, who is Dr. Kimberly Mucker Johnson?
In August of 2020, the hot-in-so-many-ways summer of COVID and the movement for justice for George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, we had an amazing call with two very well-known Louisville, educationally minded, and investigative-caliber radio reporters, Jess Clark, of WFPL and Jarred Bennet of KYCIR. I’m sorry if sharing their names here makes them uncomfortable, but they are easily recognizable in the recording and they had every opportunity to make the story known and expose these crimes in progress, but for some reason, maybe above their pay grade, they didn’t. And now, here we are. Don’t get me wrong, Jess and Jarred aren’t the only ones who could have done the right thing somewhere along the way. There have been hundreds, if not thousands, of chances and players. Don’t worry, we’ll get to all that. But this happened and people deserve to know, so without further adieu, I present the recording of the interview with key witnesses who knew what had just happened, while it was fresh on their minds, not half a decade later, like the current hearing is attempting to do.
A transcript of the call can be found here.
On the call, in addition to the two reporters, myself, Dr. Johnson, who is named in the text message, as well as the text message recipient, Jenna Fracasso, a former Maupin teacher, two other current Maupin teachers, and a parent who had similar experiences with the problematic kindergarten teacher who wanted to share her story.
I don’t know if Dr. Johnson was successful in submitting this recording for the record, primarily because the KDE staff, lawyers and hearing officer played tag team in making sure our ability to legally record their crimes in action in an Open Meeting protected by Kentucky law or simply be present for the entirety of the hearing, as I sat in the lobby countless hours during the first four days waiting to be allowed to go up. But don’t worry, we don’t mind some good trouble when we know they lyin’ and cheatin’, so we still got plenty of recordings anyway. Can’t wait to share them with you.
Hey, Cody, if you’re reading this new little post, I look forward to discussing it on our final hearing date of July 25, 2025, along with other articles I wrote, such as Daquans’s First Weapons Charge. That is, if you’re really open to allowing the “whole truth” to come out. You know the entire KDE staff has already taken sides on this hearing, resulting in numerous violations of the public’s right to access the hearing, as well as distractions, delays, ridiculous innuendos and performances.
The final hearing date of the “professional lynching” of Dr. Kimberly Mucker-Johnson is taking place virtually on July 25, 2020. I’m pretty sure I’ll get a link that is only admitted during my testimony and not the whole time, because, how else are they going to continue to prevent me from recording? However, it is a public meeting after all and they have created quite the conundrum for themselves. We’re not sure how they’re planning to pull this last one off.
Tune into the next episode of The Days of our Lies and watch how KDE attorneys Cody and Nora twist themselves into pretzels spouting out every textbook objection they learned in their privatizer-funded cult of white supremacists that is institutional racism on display in front of our very eyes as they team up 12 deep against a lone teacher representing herself “pro se” who simply wants to make sure no more Black babies are subjected to the physical, emotional and psychological terror by “soft bigotry of low expectations” personified. It is another “professional lynching,” a term coined by former JCPS educator and author of a book with a variation of the same name. On social media, I even posted this image with the caption, “how can you #Nazi it?”among other things.

A transcript is in the process of being created.
On the call are two reporters, myself, a former Maupin teacher, two current Maupin teachers, and a parent.
This is the message (ahem, confession, ahem, threat) in question.

Here’s a small taste of her hideous appearance, both metaphorically and physically. I almost feel sorry for her.

Oh, you want to watch some of the performance? Ok, twist my arm.
But that’s just the beginning of the convoluted web they continued to weave. Including the myriad other ways these teachers and other witnesses attempted to get eyes on this, give district leaders every opportunity to do the right thing, they never could.
At one point during the hearing, Jenna from the text message, was testifying. The KDE attorneys were nonplussed with the idea that Jenna had changed her testimony all these years later. That’s when she informed them that she had NOT changed her testimony, but that it had been falsified. Incredulous, Nora all but accused her of not doing anything about this injustice at the time. When Jenna couldn’t remember if she took this information up the chain five years later, she ended questioning. But was that the end of the story? No.
I remember. I was there. I am the one who requested and provided the open records to Jenna that included these falsified investigations, which is how she became aware her words had been twisted, all this time later. In fact, the timing of this telling text message indicates that Katie started to catch wind that Jenna was now raising concerns about what had been done, and every indication is that her concerns were dead-ended or met with threats like these. When Jenna first learned her brave words had been used to protect Ms. Stolz instead of doing what needed to be done, she cried to us. Ms. Katie had no idea why “all of a sudden” Jenna was “stooping to such a low level,” but instead of asking her and finding out it was because she had just received a copy of the falsified investigative report, she decided to consult with presumably more powerful “others,” (which she brags about in the text message) and threatens to have done to her what was done to Dr. Johnson. How was that not treated by district administrators as a confession AND a threat, I will never understand. It’s not for lack of trying.
Here is a link to a story we did when we tried to escalate these concerns of tampering with witness testimonies, investigative processes and other evidence, per Dr. Pollio’s guidance, to no avail. You can see from the response from Pollio’s direct report over the internal investigations process, Jodell Renn, that Jenna was advised she should take her concerns to her principal or JCTA rep. The problem is that both of these individuals had already been contacted and shown they had been collaborating against Dr. Johnson for some time. Jenna was without options, which may be why she could not recall what was done next.
