Strategic Plan: Vision 2020

The Jefferson County Board of Education is hosting a series of meetings to hear from community stakeholders to help identify the most critical issues, the “Big Rocks,” that must be addressed for the district to make significant improvement over the next five years.

This community input will inform the development of Vision 2020 will be the basis for targeting resources and research based strategies for maximum impact. All community members are invited to join the conversation at one of the following events:

  • Thursday, 5/21 Fairdale High School 6–8 p.m. 1001 Fairdale Road
  • Thursday, 5/28 Westport Middle School 6–8 p.m. 8100 Westport Road

  1. Here is a suggestion improving schools in the future: Rebrand the tired district brand from JCPS (which sounds like a community college, and references a former president who had no affiliation with our town), to Louisville Metro Schools. Our brand is old and tired and needs new energy in order to come alive again.
